I have a friends who is deathly afraid of aliens, but ghosts and monsters and demons don't scare him. I don't quite understand it.
Either way, I think this one is pretty cool. :D

Perhaps someday I will work with oils. . .

I love this painting. It looks like a classic 57'cheverlet spaceship. You picked the perfect red for it. Is it search and survey or search and destroy? :+fav:

Thanks man. And the answer is yes. It's search and survey or search and destroy. I'm glad you noticed the year. The 55' and 56' Chevrolet didn't have the dishes on the front. Man you really know your spaceships. Most people miss that.

There is no way to measure an artist, or their work, because nothing matters, but their vision. Their acceptance by the rest of the world is merely external.

Thank you very much. Weird, I've never even heard of anyone being afraid of aliens.

Yeah, some people are afraid of oils, but they're really easy to work with, I think so anyway. Lots of blend time.

My friend Arum1966 [link] uses acrylics, and to great effect, I think. And I've used acrylics quite a bit, but oils are still my medium of choice. If you start painting in oils, let me know. I know a few little things that make life easier. Like, how to avoid washing a brush out, and never ruining it. Basically, I'll make all sorts of suggestions on oils. Could rant forever about them.
